Types of Roofs:
TPO - considered a single ply membrane, this white thermoplastic membrane features heat welded seams and is relatively economical to install
Rubber - EPDM rubber, typically black in color and has a very successful track record- very economical and long lasting
PVC - considered a single ply membrane, this white thermoplastic membrane features heat welded seams and is relatively economical to install, though, typically not as economical as TPO, but , is perfect for restaurant application because of its unique properties where grease is an issue
Built up & SBS - these roofs are applied in layers coated with hot asphalt and are good choices when there is heavy foot traffic on a roof.
Roof coating - There are a number of roof coatings available and there is a unique application for each. Some coatings can waterproof your roof, such as a liquid rubber, for 10 years or longer. While other coatings are designed to simply reflect Ultra Violet rays that can destroy a perfectly good roof. And, some coatings are designed to fix leaks on existing flat and low sloped metal roofs as well as asphalt and rubber roofs.
